TEACHING

  • I currently teach Bachelor’s and Master’s level modules at TU Wien:
    • 2023-2024, semester 2: Theory of Stochastic Processes – lectures (105.746) and problem classes (105.745)
    • 2023-2024, semester 1: Mathematical Statistics – lectures (107.079) and problem classes (107.210)
    • 2022-2023, semester 2: Theory of Stochastic Processes – lectures (105.746) and problem classes (105.745)
    • 2022-2023, semester 1: Measure and Probability Theory 2 – problem classes (107.A09)
    • 2022-2023, semester 1: Mathematical Statistics – problem classes (107.210)
    • 2021-2022, semester 2:  Theory of Stochastic Processes – problem classes (105.745)
    • 2021-2022, semester 1: Mathematical Statistics – problem classes (107.210)
    • 2020-2021, semester 2: Seminar in Probability Theory – lectures (105.721) – topic: longest increasing subsequences in a random permutation
    • 2020-2021, semester 2: Theory of Stochastic Processes – problem classes (107.317)
  • In Oct-Nov 2019, I substituted for Fabio Deelan Cunden for nine lectures of the module Probability Theory (University College Dublin).
  • I was a teaching assistant for the following Mathematics and Statistics undergraduate modules at the Department of Statistics, University of Warwick:
    • 2017-2018, term 2: Probability Theory (ST318)
    • 2017-2018, term 1: Mathematical Methods (ST208)
    • 2016-2017, term 2: Probability Theory (ST318)
    • 2016-2017, term 1: Mathematics of Random Events (ST342)
    • 2015-2016, term 2: Stochastic Processes (ST202)
    • 2015-2016, term 1: Mathematical Techniques (ST116)
    • 2014-2015, term 2: Probability A & Probability B (ST111/ST112)
  • I was awarded the prize Giving to Warwick 2017 for an “outstanding contribution by PhD students to the Statistics’s Department’s teaching programme”, based on students’ feedback.
  • Before starting my PhD, I gave private classes of Mathematics to high school and undergraduate students for several years.

SUPERVISION

  • Jointly with Alejandra Avalos-Pacheco, I am supervising the MSc thesis of Lukas Gludovatz at TU Wien.
  • In June-July 2019, I jointly supervised with Fabio Deelan Cunden the undergraduate summer research project “Interacting Particle Systems, Last Passage Percolation, and Random Matrices”, carried out by Shane Gibbons (University College Dublin).

OUTREACH

  • Together with Nikos Zygouras and Kutlwano Bashe, I ran the sessions called “Probability in Statistical Physics” in the higher education outreach “Science and survival” for year 9 students from Coventry and Warwickshire schools (University of Warwick, 10/07/2017).
